You don t have to go on an African safari, or even to the local zoo, to hear wild elephant calls! Elephants are one of the largest and most majestic animals in the world. Large African and smaller Asian elephants alike use their unique trunks to make trumpeting and rumbling sounds. Rumbles are typically used to communicate with fellow herd members, voicing playfulness or helping the herd decide which direction to move. Louder and more aggressive trumpeting noises are used as a warning to predators or intruders on the elephants territory. In addition to the characteristic rumbling and trumpeting of elephants, these animals can also make other vocalizations, such as snorts, roars, barks and cries. Perhaps most amazing of all, elephants actually imitate other sounds using their trunks! Be prepared to be amazed by the incredible elephant communication sounds in this app! Plus, kids will love them too!
